This castle was built 6 kilometres from Vlorë.It was built on the site of an ancient settlement, one of the oldest in the Vlora region.It is believed to have been erected in the 3rd century B.C and was the center of the Principality of Valona in the 14th century. The settlement covers an area of 3.6 hectares.

The forest of soda was build in 1947-48 from villagers and students . It was part of a project to make all the coast green. It covers an area of 5 km length and 1.5 km width.It is the perfect place to take your bike and go for a ride throught the long tunel that the branches of the trees make.
